Today we’re excited to share that Kesar Varma on our investment team has been promoted to Principal!

Kesar has been an integral part of our investment team at Upfront since 2021, working closely with me on our health tech and gaming practices. Beyond that, as a former operator turned investor, he’s brought tremendous value to the entire firm - partners, founders, and anyone who has had the pleasure of working with Kesar can attest to his work ethic and genuine dedication to helping others. From helping founders prioritize product roadmaps, introducing key customers and potential hires, to reworking our internal sourcing process and data silos, he has never shied away from an opportunity to step up. Amidst all that, he still somehow finds the time to gather and host founders and industry executives at major conferences, and get in some matches testing new video games with creators.
